About the Department
Mechanical Engineering is an ever green branch of engineering and its application is omnipresent. This bestows upon us enormous responsibilities. In the dynamically changed scenario, we have to keep pace with other developed countries that require changes in our infrastructure, enhancement in knowledge to develop new technologies and patents to make a place in the world.
Thus faculty members of the top b.tech college in mechanical engineering in SEG have to nurture and nourish the student to grasp advance knowledge in Mechanical Engineering.
Objective of the undergraduate programme is to create and prepare the man powers that on all parameters are globally best. Most of the students, who graduate from the department, end up taking leading positions in industry, academia and government, both in India and abroad.
The department has dedicated faculty members and adequate infrastructure to impart proper education as well interaction for finding solution to any complicated matters. The results in the university examinations have been excellent throughout since inception. The department keeps updating labs in order to keep in pace with the recent trends.
International Study Tour
As a part our B.Tech Curriculum students will travel abroad and visit Top Global Institutes and Industries.. This addition to our program is made to help our students learn from the working of these Global Organisations which will further enhance their personality and would give them edge in Campus Placements.
There is just no substitute for the first-hand experience our B.Tech students will gain from it.
Programme Educational Objective
The ME program is guided and govern by its objectives to educate the students to become future technocrats students who will be ethical, productive and contributing members of society. As they progress after graduation, our alumni will do the following:
- Use their engineering foundation for success in Technical careers in industry, academia, government or other organizations, Graduate school in engineering Non-technical careers in areas such as law, medicine, business, public policy, secondary education, service industries, etc. Careers involving engineering practice, research and development, or engineering education, management or service- careers involving management or entrepreneurship.
- Use lifelong learning skills to take advantage of professional development opportunities in their disciplines. Develop new knowledge and skills and pursue new areas of expertise. Adapt to changing global markets and workforce trends.
- Engage in professional service by using their engineering background to advance society and to help solve technical and societal problems Developing new knowledge and products that will promote sustainable economic development to improve the quality of life. Promoting the practice of engineering as a source of societal good.
The department is well-equipped with several, classrooms, projection halls, seminar halls, smart classrooms. We have specialized laboratories installed with a variety of software catering to the needs of computer science education and research. We strongly emphasize the conduct of weekly seminars to inculcate the art of cutting out study material from Journals.
